MAC Cremesheen in Creme Cup £14.00
This is admittedly, my first MAC lipstick that's not red! Up until now my motto for MAC was "redder the better" however this all changed when I took a long hard look at my collection and discovered I had about a million variations of red, several nudes and barely any pinks!
I originally decided on "Pink Plaid" which is a matte, but as you can tell from the pictures above as much as I love pink lippy, it doesn't really suit me at all - so, I needed something I could feel confident with and by confident I mean something silky enough to blot off whilst still maintaining pigment. I started looking at the Cremesheen's and instantly fell for this little beauty, "Creme Cup." In the tube it looks like it would be quite a dusty colour however on my skin tone (I'm a yellow girl - I am very yellow indeed) it looks much more cooler, it even shimmers slightly purple in the sun!
The colour pay off is very good for this Cremesheen, the others I have (all reds such as New York Apple) need to be blotted and reapplied a lá Marilyn Monroe several times before the pigment really shines through the well, shine.
I was also very excited to see that MAC have added new, lighter shades to their Studio Fix range which I was very excited to try in the shop (the lovely assistant also changed my profile to a few combo's of the new shades so I can combine and more importantly not forget after being NC15 for god knows how long!)
