Dainty Doll by Nicola Roberts Powder Blush in 004 you are my sunshine.
I'm in love. I'm in love with a blusher.
I remember watching a documentary on Nicola Roberts making a make up brand for pale ladies a few years ago, and dismissed it immediately. I mean, anything made by a celeb is usually tacky, low quality and usually smells like a baby prostitute. But then I found this, apart from the tiny name on the front of the blush, this looks like a cute little compact at home in any celeb haters make up bag.
In the pan it looks really rose-gold. I always opt for a warmer colour as I am awfully pale. In fact, this reminds me so much of NARS "Orgasm" blush - but about twice as much product for £16. In fact, I tell you a little lie - I won this on ebay for around £3 after postage and packaging!
Without a flash the colour does look very pink and you can't see the shimmering gold at all - big mistake for me. The colour payoff with this is glorious - in fact I only need to sweep my blusher brush across this once, and my cheeks look like they've just stepped out of the 1940s and have spotted a rather handsome young sailor! I also feel this helps my complexion ten fold. I have bad skin at the moment (thanks mumma nature) and the warmth of this blush I feel actually makes my blemishes look less red and angry! It also didn't settle into my minor acne scaring on my cheeks. If you're pale and you're not as rich as you'd like to be, I urge you to delve into this collection! x
Great color on you! I can't find it here in the u.s. Must be u.k limited for now.
