I know that this post is very messy and higglety pigglety, I am in the midst of studying for my theory test and readying myself for several interviews for new full time jobs! I was a bit naughty yesterday and bought far more than I probably should have. But I decided to do a little post about the things I am excited about!
Firstly, the Topshop lipstick in "Charmed." I did pop into Topshop to pick up some Joni jeans however they didn't have any leg length 34 which is what I need, nor did they have the lipstick "ooh la la" which I have been lusting over for I don't know how long! But a smile was put back on my face when I saw this lipstick. It is an incredibly orange coral - it looks like a red/orange in the tube however is a lot lighter and creamier then I thought it would be once applied. No Topshop lipstick is known for its staying power however the majority of the shades are all must haves for summer!Next stop is the Revlon Nearly Naked face powder. I have the biggest crush on Emma Stone and as she is fronting the ad campaign I just had to pick up this little beauty! I cannot express how much of a let down the packaging is - for a small compact of powder the casing is huge and chunky, I've used this product once and you can already see some staining on the outer packaging. But I am completely in love with this powder! It is very sheer and as it says on the tin, nearly naked. The formula is good for sensitive skin and the lightest shade "010 Fair" is a good shade for me, it's slightly darker than my natural skin but now the sun is coming out I have started with the tinted moisturisers so it will look very matched soon!
Finally, I decided to pick up the Colour Stay concealer. I preach the Colour Stay foundation for combination/oily skin and couldn't imagine using another drug store foundation. There were only three shades available, however I think this shade again in "010 Fair" goes nicely with my NC15 skin and will probably go well with most fair skin tones. The consistency is much thicker than the foundation which is expected from a concealer. I feel it is very similar to the lasting finish collection 2000 concealer however it goes on a lot quicker and doesn't break me out as bad as the collection 2000 dupe.
A quick swatch - Revlon Nearly Naked powder in "010 Fair" Revlon Colour Stay foundation in 150 Buff Chamois and Revlon Colour Stay foundation in "010 Fair"
An even quicker selfie - I always wear my face slightly darker than my true skintone, I look ill if my face is as pale as the rest of my body! My skin isn't the best at the moment, this is simply to show you the tone of the Topshop lipstick in "Charmed"
